Schmonday Monday #12 * alphabet & critter

Hi there, it's time for another Schmonday Monday :-)

This is a happy little challenge some of my dearest cardmaking friends and I invented. We pick one Monday a month (because Mondays can use a bit more color and fun), we pick a topic or challenge and we pick a recipient. This time, we also have a special guest designer!!

This time, it was Birkas turn to choose a topic and a person who will get our happy mail. She challenged us to use alphabet stamps or dies, create one word and replace one letter with a critter or object. Challenge accepted! :-) I went for the word "hello" and created a crafty themed card.

And our Schmonday Monday mail went to Kat. She's a sweet papercrafter I know from IG. I don't know her that well, but she leaves the loveliest comments and I love what she creates. You can find this crafty lady on Instagram @megustazellulose or on her blog me gusta zellulose.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 424

Hello and welcome
to a new Weekly Sketch Challenge inspiration for the My Favorite Things Challenge blog.

This time, I went for a happy little gnome card. I stamped and colored my cute little fella using alcohol markers and colored pencils. Then, I made my background using masking paper and the small brick wall stencil. For a harmonic look, I used very similar blues and browns for the gnome and the background. And for my third step, I die cut the birthday circle and the clouds.

Join the fun and meet us at the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge for more information about how you can play along.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a colorful day,
Nicole
