Rainbows * MFT March Birthday Project

Hi there!

Welcome to another Birthday Project Challenge by My Favorite Things. This monthly challenge is all about birthday cards. Our newest topic is RAINBOWS! and this might be one of my favorite themes. Love it!

Today, I have an almost stamp free card full of favorites for you. I'm a huge stamp lover but dies are just so cool to play with. The Birthday Cake Die is perfect for using up little pieces of leftover papers that are just to good to throw away, so ... favorite number one.
Then, I totally fell in love with the Heavyweight Translucent Vellum. It's fabulous to tone down a busy and colorful background and it's super sturdy and just pretty. And my third new favorite is the Treat Tag. It almost fills up your entire card but creates a wonderful background or focal point. I don't know what it is about tag dies, but I really like them a lot!

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 429

Hello and welcome
to a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge inspiration. We have a fun geometric sketch for you and I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I did not have dies or a stencil to create triangles, so I made a quick stencil for this project. But MFT has some wonderful triangle products that would make this much easier ;-) I took tiny leaves stamps to create my triangles. After stamping them in a light green ink, I used two darker greens to create some depth with my stamping. Using my handmade stencil, I applied a light layer of Distress Ink to make my triangles stand out even more. The rest of the card is quite simple. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the owl and stamped the sentiment.
